Since 2021, Ukraine has regulated the activities of collection companies and financial institutions to settle overdue debts on consumer loans. According to the new legislation, collection companies must be registered in the Register of Collection Companies of the National Bank of Ukraine.  Registration begins on July 14, 2021.  The list of collection companies registered with the National Bank of Ukraine will be placed in the public Register of Collection Companies and the bank has the right to apply to the collection company for settlement of overdue debt, if such company is registered and listed in the Register of Collection Companies.
